High Street clothing is a lot cheaper. It is made in bulk and is usually advertised by a celebrity pop star or footballer.
The fashion industry uses celebrities to influence the public's buying pattern. Sportswear has become very fashionable. Every high street has sports stores. In contrast to the 1940's women and girls now wear trousers, jeans and joggers.
