Welcome to the Bowater House Website.
Bowater House is a nine storey housing block near the centre of
West Bromwich which is part of the West Midlands, United Kingdom.
Bowater House is at present undergoing a high quality
refurbishment scheme which is being carried out by Wates
Construction Ltd, on behalf of Sandwell Housing
Department. Designed by Sandwell's Building Services
Division, it will incorporate several elements which underline
Sandwell's commitment to making Energy Management a Reality.
The forty one week programme commenced in March 1998 and will
provide high quality, affordable accommodation for the next
thirty years. The basis of the plan is for Bowater House to be as
energy efficient as possible. It will be one of the first schemes
in the UK to invest in the benefits of solar energy as a
renewable source for high-rise social housing.
This website has been designed by students from Bristnall Hall
High School to provide accessible information about the
regeneration of Bowater House.
